We are searching for a talented Construction Cost Administrator to be based out of our regional office located in Washington DC at The Yards. The construction administrator is responsible for forecasting and reporting all A&E and construction related costs on a monthly basics. Works with the development team to forecast the soft costs and development FP&A for project reporting. Supports the construction project manager in processing the contractor's and A&E's pay applications and preparing the contractor and A&E contracts and change orders.

• Prepare monthly construction cost for the projects assigned to. Work with the project manager to ensure all the cost changes for the month are included in the report.
• Input the hard and soft claims into SAP, so that the forecast in SAP is correct. Ensure the cost claims and forecast matches the construction cost report. Work with FP&A Project Reporting on the project status reports.
• Work with developer to ensure soft costs are properly forecasted .Work with manager of development reporting and the development service specialists to ensure costs are coded correctly.
• Review contractor and A&E proposals for additional costs and time. Work with the project manager and estimator on responses back to the contractor or A&E firm. Prepare the change orders for the contractors or A&E firm.
• Review the contractors pay application with the project manager and the lending inspector. Process the pay application by preparing the recap sheet and working with the development service specialists to ensure all the paperwork is in order and verifying there is money in SAP for each of the line items. Work with the finance as needed with the bank draw.
• Prepare contracts for minor scopes of work. Work with estimator, project manager and/or SVP as needed on larger construction contracts and scope of work.
• Work with construction project manager on items they request assistance with relative to contract administration activities and provide oversite of project schedule progress.
• Attend construction project meetings and the OAC. To keep up to date on the status of the project when it comes to: schedule, costs and important issues.

• This position requires an Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Construction, Civil Engineering or related discipline; or equivalent experience
• 5 – 7 years finance/accounting and construction is required
• Other requried skills include: organizational, communication, analytical, MS Office and project management
• Experience with SAP is preferred
