Job Description: 

Akridge is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager for the US Institute of Peace at 2301 Constitution Avenue. The job requirements for this prestigious assignment are seven to ten years experience as a Senior Property/Facility Manager, RPA or CPM designation and a Bachelor’s degree.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously, vendor and contract management, strong leadership skills in addition to interpersonal and communication skills, and a proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service. Experience managing properties or facilities departments with conference centers and GSA experience is helpful. Proficiency
in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel required and LEED accreditation desired.

Specific responsibilities
•Ensure that the building and all transactions or requests with staff, vendors or building clients are conducted in a first class manner and ensure that outstanding customer service is provided at all times.
•Manage all maintenance contracts involved in the upkeep of an office building, including, cleaning, trash and recycling, pest control, interior and exterior landscaping, HVAC maintenance, control systems, life safety, systems, generator, lighting system, and air quality.
•Assist with maintenance of Owner’s internal spaces including move coordination, space planning, internal repairs, furniture maintenance and any other items related to Owner’s infrastructure.
•Manage the parking contract, parking budget, and on-site parking garage company employees.
•Manage simultaneous Facilities projects including; obtaining multiple bids, tracking progress of projects, managing cost budgets, and communicating status as appropriate to Owner.
•Implement and recommend capital improvements and emergency repairs as needed and responsibility for preparing and managing annual operating budgets.
•Supervise the Facilities Coordinator and on-site staff to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the building are in keeping with USIP standards and those of a First Class Office building.
•Provide management and direction to Conferences, Meetings, and Events both through management of Facilities Coordinator and engineers plus serve as an additional resource to Owner to ensure the successful delivery of event management.
•Responsible for the Owner relationship and frequent and proactive communication fulfilling Owner’s objectives.
