Job Description: 

This position is for a Proposal Manager that supports the firm’s New Business Development efforts. The Proposal Manager will play a critical role in strategic pursuits and the development of 100% compliant, compelling, and winning proposals. You will be responsible for the preparation of all assigned proposals, from concept through presentation to the client, ensuring all requirements of the RFP/RFQ are met and that the scope of work and services to both the client and internal execution group are clearly defined. You will create proposals, qualitative research, presentations and other deliverables daily, both in print and digital across multiple platforms. You will be successful because you have impeccable organization, leadership and project management skills, superior written and verbal communications skills, and are accomplished in InDesign and MS Office.

Qualifications Desired: 

  • Knowledge of and experience with the business development proposal process (RFP/RFQ).
  • Experience creating or developing marketing material.
  • Experience in the Commercial Real Estate and/or A/E/C industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment.
  • Flexibility, self-motivation, and enthusiasm to work on tight deadlines.
  • Client service orientation

Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Perform full life cycle proposal development tasks in support of new location proposal formulation & delivery.
  • Design, write and produce proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral in alignment with brand standards.
  • Partner with executive leadership, senior staff and legal counsel to develop or acquire necessary proposal and presentation materials.
  • Create proposal timeline and checklists to ensure timeliness, compliance, and quality control of all deliverables.
  • Prepare assessment of proposal’s requirements noting any unusual technical, financial, and/or schedule risks.
  • Clearly define the Scope of Work and Services offered to the client and identify any clarifications or exceptions to the client’s inquiry.
  • Develop facility marketing and amenity plans as needed.
  • Provide real-time status of capture efforts to Business Development leadership.
  • Offer capture and proposal expertise to new business opportunities.
  • Participate in and champion strategy and planning sessions.
  • Develop new materials and strategies to support new business development activities.
  • Perform multiple marketing efforts against rapid and frequent deadlines.
  • Identify barriers to progress and areas for improvement across capture processes and tools.
  • Develop a plan and implementation strategy for effective and efficient problem-solving and corrective action to eliminated or alleviate barriers to progress and areas for improvement.
  • Understand and learn the firm’s portfolio of work and firm wide capabilities.
  • Understand and apply lessons learned to future activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of approved company vendors, estimating methods and project execution procedures.
  • Additional Marketing Duties as assigned

This position will receive an annual performance review from the direct supervisor to discuss actual performance as compared to company stated expectations and agreed upon job related performance goals for the upcoming year.
