Job Description: 

Under the direction of the Director of Asset Management, this role manages the data and process for FCP’s capital projects team. The position is responsible for the reconciliation of the monthly, quarterly and yearly Capex variance reports and budgets for a growing portfolio and annual construction spend of over $20MM. The position requires extensive interaction and coordination with the Asset Managers, Capital Project Managers and Property Management Teams.


• Analyze monthly capital expense activity from each property, expense descriptions and accounting update and ensure consistency and data quality.

• Monitor on-going accounting changes from each property on a monthly basis.

• Analyze, summarize, and present construction activity on a quarterly basis.

• Assist in the upload of annual capital expenditure budgets for new and existing properties.

• Follows guidelines for accounting, and asset management as well as construction services policies and procedures for proper classification of Capital versus Operating Expenses.

• Assist Capital Project Managers with organization and enforcement of a warranty library for completed projects.

• Assist Construction with special projects and other duties as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 2 years related experience.

• Experience managing project management software or database.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills are required. Successful candidates should be comfortable preparing and delivering presentations to large audiences.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.

• Basic real estate accounting or construction knowledge / related experience a plus.
