Daniel H. Pink on Persuading, Influencing, and Moving Others

On January 7th CREW DC and CREBA co-hosted an event featuring New York Times bestselling author Daniel Pink. Mr. Pink’s book, To Sell Is Human, The Surprising Truth About Moving Others, is a #1 New York Times business bestseller, #1 Wall Street Journal business bestseller and #1 Washington Post nonfiction bestseller.

Jennifer Bognet and Andy Eichberg, presidents of CREW and CREBA respectively introduced Mr. Pink, who addressed a sell-out audience over luncheon at the Willard Hotel. He engaged the crowd and ignited their inner salesperson with a thought-provoking presentation.

Statistics show that one in nine Americans works in sales, but Mr. Pink reminds us we all work in sales. We constantly engage in what he calls “non-sales selling.” Every day we try to persuade others to use our ideas, complete a project, or do something new. We constantly move others to do something.

In addition to the presentation and the chance to meet the author, each guest received an autographed copy of Mr. Pink’s book.
