Roundtable Program: “Let’s Do Lunch”

The CREW DC Member Services/Networking Committee sponsored the “Let’s Do Lunch” breakfast roundtable event, which took place on February 7th, 2012 at the Pepco Headquarters building in Washington, DC. The event was attended by almost 70 people, including eight new CREW DC members. The roundtable speaker was Marsha Redmon, a former practicing attorney and award-winning journalist who specializes in teaching business professionals how to communicate most effectively with their clients, the media and each other.

The focus of the roundtable was to teach a realistic, effective and targeted approach to networking and business development for busy professionals. Highlights of the topics covered included how to choose the right people to actively follow-up with, how to deepen relationships with people you meet through networking and becoming a resource to colleagues and prospects. The morning provided an opportunity for the attendees to network as well as learn effective strategies on how to best make and keep valuable contacts and connections.

Marsha has extended an invitation to CREW DC members to join her in May 2012 for a half day workshop “5 Steps to a More Powerful Presence, so that you make a more powerful first impression, feel more confident and have more impact.” Visit www.marsha.com to get updates on this open enrollment (public) workshop as the date and location are determined.
