CREW DC Announces 2017 Award Winners

Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) of Washington, DC held its annual awards event on Thursday, September 28th at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium to celebrate real estate achievements in the commercial real estate industry. More than 400 guests participated in CREW’s recognition of industry leaders as well as of industry-leading transactions, developments, interiors work and marketing campaigns that demonstrated excellence, impact and vision within the Washington, DC real estate industry.

The award winners include:

Placemaking Award – Jair Lynch Real Estate Partners, Bentall Kennedy, Donohoe Construction, Hord Coplan Macht, RCM&D, MCW, Altus Group, Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer and ECS Mid-Atlantic for Anthology. The Placemaking award recognizes a team who worked together on a development, major renovation or redevelopment project that demonstrated excellence in functionality, aesthetics and relationship to surroundings.

Dealmaking Award – Trammell Crow Company, Tenenbaum & Saas, Rand Construction Corporation and CBRE for the Federal Communications Commission Headquarters Lease at Sentinel Square III. The Dealmaking award honors the team of professionals who worked together on a transaction that demonstrated excellence, resourcefulness, collaboration and industry best practices.

Best Interiors Award – OTJ Architects, GPI and Davis Construction for Sands Capital Management. The Best Interiors Award honors the team who has completed an interiors project in a commercial, retail or multifamily space and has improved the overall aesthetics and functionality of that space, which in turn has improved its marketability and/or the workplace/livability environment.

Most Creative Marketing Award – MRP Realty and Cushman & Wakefield for the Westwood Metro Tower Campaign. The Most Creative Marketing Award recognizes a company or individual who has developed the most creative and effective advertising or marketing program that promotes or features commercial real estate, including projects, transactions and/or initiatives.
