CREW DC’s Community Action Committee partners with local non-profit organizations serving the most vulnerable of DC area residents that benefit not only from our financial contributions but receive additional in-kind support (i.e. pro bono legal, brokerage, and design services.) Each year, CREW DC donated countless hours of hands on service as well as over $25,000 to Calvary Women’s Services, DASH, Thrive DC, Suited for Change as well as The Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Women & Wine event, the Boys & Girls Club’s Youth in Real Estate Luncheon, and hurricane relief efforts.
From enrichment projects such as arts and crafts and meal services at Thrive DC, to movie nights and Mother's Day presents for DASH, to clean up on the National Mall in conjunction with The Trust for the National Mall, to resume and interview counseling with Calvary Women’s Services, and clothing donations with Suited for Change, CREW DC takes the meaning of community action to heart. In addition, we have a run/walk group that organizes a race team in the spring and fall for various fundraising races. We are always looking for members to join our committee or participate in our events throughout the year. Get Involved! If you are interested in more information, please contact Community Action Committee Co-Chairs Ann McGuire and Kristen Doty or Committee Director Elizabeth Pye.
First Wednesday of each month, volunteer to serve with other CREW DC members to female clients at Thrive DC from 4:30 - 6PM at 1525 Newton Street NW, Washington DC.
