Employee burnout is a serious issue that can lead to reduced productivity, high absenteeism, and turnover. Employees who feel better at work are more successful. In pressure-filled situations, we usually focus on doing everything we can to win a project or meet a requirement. But studies have shown that doing simple, no cost self-care in the workplace calms the mind, improves performance, and reduces the chance for burnout.
In this session we’ll discuss and demonstrate simple strategies to calm your mind and lift your spirit while working with deadlines, projects, clients and colleagues. You will learn self-care techniques including breathwork, meditation and work-appropriate movement/stretches. These techniques are proven to increase your productivity and reduce work fatigue.
Our presenter is Elizabeth Tuico, from Rebel Road Creative. Elizabeth is a veteran commercial real estate professional and movement motivator. She’s worked with some of the big names in Washington area real estate such as Clark Construction and Smith Group. In 2011 she began leading fitness classes and trained with renowned yoga masters to expand her wellness workshops and initiatives.
