“The Address Book” by Deirdre Mask
We continue our Leading with Learning program with Deirdre Mask’s “The Address Book. What Street Addresses reveal about Identity, Race, Wealth and Power”. The author’s research and memorable stories make a compelling history revealing the racism and classism behind street names and house numbers of the places in which we live and work, as well as the consequences of not having a fixed address.
We provide a safe, facilitated space to engage with each other and with the texts – as the learning journey and community building continues. CREW is connecting the challenges of racism with the history and reality of commercial real estate in this quarterly program.
We offer facilitator training for CREW DC members as part of this program and hope you will join us. If you are interested in facilitator training, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cost includes the book, a reader’s guide, and access to two discussion meetings. You may attend one or both discussion meetings – each meeting will be a unique conversation.
Please provide a complete mailing address for shipment of the book. PO boxes not permitted.
Register by September 20 to ensure timely book delivery.
